OUR DEEPEST FEAR

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyound measere.
It is our light, not our darkness,
that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually who are we not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And when we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

The Words Must Go On!!!

I haven't written for so long!!! Well, I have written, just not for me.  I have been writing nothing but essays, which is sad, because I have come up with some amazing ideas.  Recently, as in the last year, I have been on a poetry kick.  I love poetry.  I am into the more romantic, or strong speakers.  I found some poetry by Maya Angelou that I just adore.  http://www.poemhunter.com/maya-angelou/  I love Phenomenal Woman and Still I Rise!!!  They are amazing.
Lately, I have been thinking about what kind of man I want in my life, and I mean man, not boy.  I have come to the decision that I want a cowboy, because he learns how to take care of a woman with respect and kindness.  He is strong, and not just because he works out.  He works!!!  To me, that is seriously attractive.  I hate when a guy thinks that he is God's gift to women.  Guys like that just make me want to slap them silly, but I can't because they are already silly.
AHHHHHHH!!!!!!  I have never been so angry about a math class.  I hate pre-calculous.  No matter how hard I try to understand, I don't.  My teacher is an amazing woman, and I love her to death, but I can't stand her teaching methods.  She moves way too fast for me to comprehend.  I can't do math the way she does.  I am great at simple math.  I can look at a simple addition/subtraction problem and do it in my head faster than some people can type it into a calculator, and I can factor numbers and terms quite easily, even in my head still.  I just can't do pre-calculous.  I have decided not to take calculous.  I am going to take accounting instead.  I have never been so close to swearing at something on a regular basis than I have been in this class.  I don't swear, but pre-calculous makes me want to sometimes.
I finally got my schedule filled out for next year, and I am going to take a clothing class, just for fun.  I don't get to take many fun classes, so this one is just for me.  Then, over the summer, I am going to take financial literacy on-line.  Let's hope and pray that I can get it done.
I miss all my favorite shows.  I was addicted to ER and I loved Angel.  The other day, I was watching TV with my dad, and one of the guys from Angel was on this show.  I was a little weirded out.  On Angel, he was this hot gangster, vampire slayer dude.  But in this other show, he was dressed in a suit and was playing the role of a doctor.  It was so crazy!!!
I have been learning to play the guitar.  I am getting pretty good at it.  The only problem is that I can't finger pick to save my life.  I can only strum one pattern.  However, I can change chords a lot better than I used to be able to.  I love playing the guitar.  It just feels right in my hands.  I can play six different insturments now, including the guitar.  I can play the piano, flute, piccolo, guitar, french horn, and trumpet.  Hopefully next year my band teacher will tech me a reed instrument.  I really want to play bass clarinet.  I don't know why, but I do.  I love learning a new instrument.  I really wish that I had private music lessons still, but my teacher got so busy she couldn't anymore. I have been called to be the organist and conductor in my church, and so I need the extra help on the hymns.  But in all reality, I just want to have someone to play with again. Elise and I used to just sit and play all the time.  It was so fun, and I miss it so much.
I am really mad that my stake doesn't get to play co-ed volleyball anymore.  The stake president thinks that it is too dangerous.  But guess what!!!  People know the risks when they go to play.  They don't have to play.  My best friend and I used to love to go and play because we could just goof off.  It was just innocent fun, and sure, I got hit once, but I got right back in the game.  It's odd.  Baseball and football scare me to death.  I hate when people throw balls at me.  But in volleyball, I am just fine.  I also love hockey.  I can get in the middle of a skirmmish, and don't even care if I get hit in the shins.  It doesn't bother me at all.
I have to go.  Class is almost over.  Bye.
